AV/IT Support Engineer

Role: AV/IT Support Engineer

Installing and configuring cutting-edge video conferencing and collaboration solutions
Maintaining A/V infrastructures, including Digital Signage, and conducting routine preventative maintenance to minimize down time
Standardizing the conferencing experience at Client by ensuring installation, configuration and operation of conference room equipment exceeds our customers’ expectations
Facilitating and monitoring key A/V meetings and events, including live-streams
Supporting Client’s infrastructure (hardware, software/OS) including, but not limited to, Mac and PC laptops and AWS development environments
Handling weekly and routine tasks such as onboards, terminations, desk changes and inventory management.
Providing ticket-based, walk-up and remote user support
Uncovering, researching and educating the group on the newest technologies
Developing, improving, implementing and administering processes and procedures
Inventory Management

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or relevant work experience
Strong willingness to learn new systems and take on projects is a must
Able to integrate into a team environment as well as handle project work independently with minimal supervision
Experience supporting users by leveraging sharp analytical abilities and proven problem-solving skills; must be a real troubleshooter who excels at spotting issues and monitoring problems
Strong ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities in an innovative and fast paced environment
Strong verbal and written communications skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
Knowledge of networking hardware and concepts
General knowledge of booking tools & Microsoft Exchange
Experience supporting printers
General knowledge of A/V infrastructures & wiring
General knowledge of construction basics
Experience with video conferencing equipment from vendors such as Cisco & Polycom
Strong knowledge of supporting Microsoft and Apple operating systems
Must be able to lift at least 40lb
Must be willing to travel for short periods of time

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Live event equipment
Experience with Crestron
Advanced knowledge of current Cisco Telepresence products
Experience with additional operating systems such as RHEL and Ubuntu
Enterprise support experience, specifically Windows Domain, Servers and Active Directory


Important Info:

Candidate will spend 2 weeks onboarding in Newark, and then will travel few days every other month to Newark.

In addition, candidate will be the only support person in Boston Location.
