Technical Writer

Project is through 2018 however these two positions are contract only positions and will be evaluated every 90 days for renewal through Dec 2018. Please ensure all candidates understand this is a longer term assignment.


Essential Job Responsibilities:

•           Resourceful, self-motivated, and deadline oriented

•           Manage knowledge base articles, incorporate company style and standards, and publish final versions

•           Gather knowledge through research and asking questions to ensure documentation is clear and consistent

•           Participate in project team meetings and adhere to project deadlines

•           Analyze existing and potential content to identify single-sourcing opportunities

•           Create and maintain the knowledge base content architecture with proper knowledge article indexing

•           Complete other documentation projects as assigned

Required Qualifications:

•           Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications or Journalism

•           3 or more years of technical writing related experience

•           Strong writing and editing skills

•           Ability to work independently


Preferred Qualifications:

•           Technical writing experience for software applications is preferred


Physical Requirements: (remove if not applicable)

•           Sitting for potentially long periods of time

•           Light lifting
