Content Services Consultant

Summarize the position’s most critical duties and functions.

·         As a member of the Content Services Team, the Content Services Consultant performs data entry and maintenance within the Contract Information Database (CID), requests upfront payments, reviews entries for completeness and accuracy, and disseminates contractual requirements to downstream teams in a clear and timely manner. He or she also provides editorial and administrative support when needed. The ideal candidate should be an avid consumer of media, including books, periodicals or public radio; a self-starter with impeccable organizational and analytical skills; a confident and upbeat written and verbal communicator; highly organized and detail oriented; and able to thrive in a high-energy entrepreneurial environment.

Primary Responsibilities include:

·         Contract Information Database (CID):  The Content Services Consultant will perform daily data entry, review, and maintenance of Audible’s contract information in the Contract Information Database (CID) within defined SLAs.

·         Payment Requests: The Content Services Consultant is responsible for requesting contractually required payments from the Finance Team. He or she will work to onboard new providers and ensure that payments are made by or before deadlines.

·         Inter-Team Communication: The Content Services Consultant is responsible for disseminating contractual requirements to downstream teams via email and trouble ticket.

·         Editorial/Administrative Support: The Content Services Consultant provides general support as needed for the Content Services team, which may include fielding inquiries, monitoring trouble tickets, and assembling metadata for titles entering production at Audible Studios.

Role Requirements:

B.S. or equivalent degree preferred, preferably in Humanities

Functional fluency in Outlook, Excel, and MS Word

Data entry experience, demonstrated high level of accuracy

·         Working knowledge of database concepts and best practices

·         Demonstrated multi-tasking and problem solving skills in a fast-paced time sensitive environment

·         Demonstrated ability to work with a wide variety of people

Demonstrated focused attention to detail

·         Highly organized

Preferred but Not Required Qualifications:

·         Amazon experience and/or experience in the publishing field

·         Experience with contracts

Required Workplace Competencies:

A confident and upbeat successful communicator with established written and verbal business communication skills.

A self-starter with impeccable organizational and analytical skills and an eye for process improvements.

An avid consumer of online media, including books (audio and digital reader), websites, blogs, and other digital content sources.

Please note: This position will be moving to Newark, NJ by the end of this year.

Non-Exempt or Exempt:   Non Exempt – so OT rate will be time and a half for any hours over 40 in a week
